12th Annual Miami-Dade County
Walk Now for Autism Speaks

Sunday, March 4, 2012

You can participate in the school recongition program benefiting Autism Speaks. Click here for more information.

Thank you for your recent participation in our Miami Walk Now for Autism Speaks event. As you may know, the CDC just came out with new prevalence numbers today stating that autism now affects 1 in 88 children (1 in 54 boys and 1 in 252 girls). This is a 78% percent increase in the last 6 years and a 10-fold (1000%) increase in reported prevalence over the last 40 years.

These numbers confirm what Autism Speaks has been saying for years: Autism is a public health crisis – an epidemic –that affects millions of individuals and their families.

We thank you for raising the funds that you had currently raised for our event. It's not too late to submit your donations. Please be sure to mail them as soon as possible. Mail checks payable to Autism Speaks and send with a Donation Form (found on your personal page) to the address below:

5455 Wilshire Blvd. Ste 2250
