The Arizona Walk Now for Autism Speaks is a fun, family-friendly event that unites the entire community in an effort to improve the quality of life for individuals with autism. As one strong voice, Autism Speaks and SARRC bring together the resources, skills and talents of two organizations, hundreds of volunteers and thousands of walkers to produce the Valley’s largest autism awareness event.
Our goal is to help propel autism research to help uncover the causes, effective treatments and possible cures for autism while providing families affected with life-changing resources now. Just two decades ago, the incidence of autism was 1 in 10,000. Today, one in 100 Arizona children have an autism spectrum disorder (i.e. PDD-NOS, Asperger’s Syndrome and autistic disorder).
Register today! In a few quick steps, you can set up your own corporate, school of family walk team and make a difference. We look forward to seeing you at Tempe Beach Park - 8 a.m. registration, 9:30 a.m. welcome and warm up - on Sunday, Oct. 31!
