Veterans Park

Saturday, November 1, 2014

The Alabama Walk Now for Autism Speaks held its Annual Event on November 1st at Veterans Park and has raised more than $40,000! There were more than 55 teams and an amazing crowd of nearly 400. Families and friends joined together to celebrate everyone’s hard work fundraising. Read more about the day here and be on the look out for Walk day photos on our Facebook page!

There’s still time to reach your fundraising goals! Please continue to reach out and request your donations now through the holidays by letting others know why you walked and are asking for their help in making tomorrow a better day. Donations are gratefully accepted – all offline donations (checks or money orders) should be made out to Autism Speaks and mailed to our South Region Office, 557 N. Wymore Rd., #101, Maitland, Fl 32751.

Thank you for your support of the Alabama Walk! Together, we will find the missing piece of the puzzle.

Today 1 in 68 children (1 in 42 boys and 1 in 189 girls) is diagnosed as having autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Behind each of these numbers is a person living with autism, a future that we can change with your help! Start fundraising today.
