Staten Island
Walk Now for Autism Speaks

September 28, 2014, 9:00AM
The College of Staten Island

WE HAVE EXCITING NEWS! Any walker who registers for the Staten Island Walk and fundraises $150 will not only qualify for a walk t-shirt but will be entered for a chance to win a JetBlue Travel Certificate, valid for one roundtrip ticket from any city to any city that JetBlue flies. Terms, conditions and blackout dates apply. The winner will be announced on walk day and does not have to be present to claim his or her prize. Thank you JetBlue!

We are officially counting down to the 3rd Annual Staten Island Walk Now for Autism Speaks! Our walk will once again take place on the College of Staten Island campus. Our walk registration, resource fair, entertainment and festivities will take place on the Great Lawn and our 1.5-mile walk route will take place on campus. Parking will be available and buildings will be open for restroom use.

Everyone must register for this event. Please pre-register online. Parents must also register children.

Join Autism Speaks as we walk to change the future for all who struggle with autism!

Walk Now for Autism Speaks is a fun-filled, family friendly event and is our single most powerful force to fund vital research that will lead us to the answers we need. Experience the power of thousands united by a single cause by joining Walk Now for Autism Speaks. Autism is the fastest-growing serious developmental disorder in the U.S. Ė we need more volunteers to join our fight. Whether this is your first walk or the 10th, take the first step and register today. You will not only raise funds, but you will become a part of a fun and supportive family-focused community.

Today 1 in 68 children (1 in 42 boys and 1 in 189 girls) is diagnosed as having autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Behind each of these numbers is a person living with autism, a future that we can change with your help! Start fundraising today. Whether you strive to join our new "Grand Club" (walkers that raise $1,000 or more) or sell lemonade to boost your total or create your own unique event, you become a part of the solution! Donít wait another minute - start a corporate, school or family team today!

We look forward to seeing you at the event!
