WALK NOW FOR AUTISM SPEAKS
Puget Sound

Saturday, September 27, 2014

Seattle Center - Mural Amphitheatre

Join Autism Speaks as we walk to change the future for all who struggle with autism!

WALK DAY DETAILS!

CHECK OUT OUR 2014 WALK ROUTE!
Our route is self-contained in the Seattle Center grounds and is wheelchair and stroller friendly. Click here to view and download the PDF file of our Route Map!

Getting to the Walk?

Our Walk has a different location within the Seattle Center compared to last year. In 2013 we were at the Next 50 Plaza. This year, we are in the Mural Amphitheatre. Check out the Seattle Center Official Map so you can see where the Mural Amphitheatre is located (between the Children's Theatre and the Chihuly Garden & Glass). Parking is available in multiple lots located throughout the Seattle Center.

The grounds are located at 305 Harrison Street, Seattle, WA 98109. Google Map of the Mural Amphitheatre location here!

What Time is the Event?

Registration/Check-In & Donation Turn In Begins at 9:00am
Resource Fair & Activities Start at 9:00am
Opening Ceremonies will begin around 10:00am
Walk Starts at Approximately 10:30am

I May Not Make It To The Walk When Check-In/Registration Opens. Can I Arrive Late?

Yes. Registration/Check-In will be open until the walk ends. Please go directly to the check-in area when you arrive.

Will There Be Food & Beverages?

We will have bottled water and snacks available (first come, first served, while it lasts) for walk attendees thanks to the generosity of Safeway! These products will be featured at their tent near Registration/Check-In!

Are Pets Allowed at the Walk?

Sorry, but pets are not allowed. Many affected children have a fear of animals and even the sweetest pet could negatively affect another participant. Please be sensitive to this issue and leave your pets at home. Only service dogs are permitted at the walk.

Where is the Walk Route? Do I Have to Walk?

It is encouraged that all our participants enjoy walking the approximate 3 kilometer wheelchair and stroller-friendly route around the event, but it is NOT mandatory. Walking is secondary to coming together as one strong united voice to show the unity and power of those directly and indirectly affected by autism. Even if a friend or loved one is not able to walk, you can still bring them along to support your efforts.

What Happens if it Rains on the Walk Day?

All walks will be held on the date scheduled "rain or shine." However, we currently have a forecast of 70 degrees and sun - so keep those fingers crossed!
