It was perfect walking weather for more than 15,000 attendees who participated in Westchester/Fairfield Walk on Sunday, June 1st at NewYork-Presbyterian/Westchester Division in White Plains, NY.
To date, the event has raised more than $900,000 (and counting) in support of Autism Speaks’ mission to fund research, increase awareness and family services and advocate for individuals with autism and their families.
Walk Co-Chairs Sarah Kooluris and Robin Morris along with Autism Speaks President Liz Feld and Board Member Laura Slatkin cut the ceremonial start ribbon. Danny Lyons of WEBE and Lisa Wexler of WFAS hosted our stage program, helping to introduce two great performances from Cassandra Kubinski and our very own Ethan Walmark with his band mates from Clueless.
We would like to give a special thank you to our 2014 Walk Co-Chairs Robin Morris and Sarah Kooluris and the entire 2014 walk committee for your tireless effort and dedication throughout the year to make our walk such a great success. Special thanks also to our many sponsors and resource fair vendors for joining us on Walk Day and helping to support our critical mission. Refreshments provided by PepsiCo, PepsiCo Enable and Cherry Lawn Farm Market kept all of our walkers fueled up and hydrated for the morning’s festivities.
We had more than 200 teams out walking with us, many showing team pride with their fun banners and team t-shirts!
Thank you to all of our teams, participants, donors, vendors, and volunteers for making the 2014 Westchester/Fairfield Walk a great success!
