|Since 2008, families have gathered annually for the South Dakota Walk Now for Autism Speaks, and we thank you for being a part of the event in years past. We are so grateful for your past involvement and are proud to recognize the contributions of the planning committee and community partners, who have made the event possible over the years.|
This year, however, the South Dakota Walk Now for Autism Speaks is being put on hold, with hopes to renew in the future. The planning committee invites you to participate in an autism awareness walk, taking place on Saturday, June 14th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Augustana campus, featuring a vendor fair and family-friendly activities. Community members are invited to participate. Our hope is to renew the South Dakota Walk Now for Autism Speaks in the future, and anyone interested in joining the planning committee is invited to contact Liz Klug at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Join Us to Light It Up Blue!
Please also save the date to Light It Up Blue on April 2nd! Community members are turning the Augustana campus blue from 7:00 Ė 8:00 p.m. The awareness event will take place at the Madsen Center on the campus and will feature blue play doh, popcorn and hot chocolate. Come on out to see old friends, meet new ones and to help raise awareness on World Autism Awareness Day!
Canít make it? Not a problem. Visit http://www.autismspeaks.org/liub for more ideas about how you can Light It Up Blue this year.
Thanks once again for your support of Autism Speaks. We hope to see you at an upcoming event soon.
