Autism Speaks is proud to partner with organizations with a regional and/or national presence. Partners share our goal to change the future for all who struggle with autism spectrum disorders. Partners participate in a variety of ways, including organizing teams in multiple locations, providing volunteer support, and enhancing mission awareness. Alpha Xi Delta
Alpha Xi Delta, one of the nation's oldest women's fraternities, announced on April 2, 2009 its new philanthropic partnership with Autism Speaks, the nation's largest autism science and advocacy organization. The sorority and its more than 135,000 members across the country will work to raise autism awareness and financial support for Autism Speaks.

Alpha Xi Delta will use its extensive network of college chapters and alumnae associations to support Autism Speaks' awareness and fundraising efforts. Chapters and associations will participate in or host fundraising events in support of Walk Now for Autism Speaks, Autism Speaks' signature fundraising and awareness event. In addition, Alpha Xi Delta's large membership base will offer Autism Speaks a means to mobilize additional volunteers.

"Alpha Xi Delta's mission, 'Realize Your Potential,' is particularly meaningful for parents of children with autism," said Bell. "Our children work so hard every day to realize their potential. We are honored to have your collegiate and alumnae members walk with us to raise critically-needed funds for research into this troubling disorder. We are particularly gratified to meet this whole new generation of philanthropists who take their social responsibility so seriously."
